A Better Way to Do Dentistry

Fremont Natural Dentistry Naturopathic physician certificationBecause the relationship between oral health and general well-being is constantly evolving, we must, in our commitment to your healthy future, continue to grow in our holistic knowledge.

As part of that process, Dr. Yoshida recently completed his residency in integrative biologic dental medicine, earning his certification in Naturopathic Dentistry from the American Board of Integrative Medicine and Dentistry, Integrative Biologic Dental Medicine and American Naturopathic Medical Association.

For several months out of the year, Dr. Yoshida dedicated time to furthering his knowledge on biologically centered treatment for temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMJ) and periodontal disease in particular. He also focused on ozone therapy treatments designed to support healing in cases of dental disease.

With this new certification, Dr. Yoshida continues to lead his entire staff in their combined commitment to a holistic approach. From the front desk to hygiene and in every aspect of treatment, our staff is dedicated to your care and well-being.

Certainly, establishing relationships is foundational to the care we deliver. That’s why we’d also like to give a shout-out to our hygienist Toshiko. Toshiko recently celebrated her 10-year anniversary with our practice.

All this speaks to the vision and commitment that not only allows us to serve as your partner in wellness, but also empowers you in becoming your own best health care advocate.

To help you navigate dental terrain, we offer many options and many innovative technique including

  • Safe mercury removal.
  • Mercury free restorations.
  • Biomimetic technique.
  • Biocompatible materials.
  • Ozone therapy.
  • Ceramic dental implants.
  • Treatment for all stages of gum disease.

Yet we strongly believe that the most important service we offer is education.

Because when it comes to your oral health and its impact on your overall health, scientific evidence shows an intricate link. Addressing bacteria that causes gum disease, decay, and tooth loss is critical. Pathogenic oral bacterial is related to increases not only in chronic conditions such as heart disease, stroke, diabetes and cancer, but also all-cause death from these debilitating diseases.

In fact, because the health and well-being of our clients come first, we long ago transitioned from being a general dental practice to a holistic one. As our clients know, this means we take into account the whole person when providing any assessment for dental care.

Our transition to a holistic and biological practice is not only based on a different philosophy; it’s based on a philosophy that continues to evolve. When taking into account our role in your healthcare, we know that dentists place more foreign materials in a body than any other type of medical practitioner. We also know any material placed has the potential to cause a reaction in a chemically sensitive person.

Our practicing paradigm is one of minimal invasiveness. We practice biomimetic technique because it’s a tooth-conserving approach that can eliminate the need for root canals. Our commitment to do no harm has not only guided our evolution to practice in a biologic and holistic manner.

It will continue to do so as long as we keep searching for a better way.
