F.A.Q.

What dental insurance do you accept?

Although we are out-of-network with all PPO plans, we’re happy to help you submit your claims for reimbursement. We do not accept HMO plans or Alameda Alliance/MediCal. You can still become a patient, though, regardless of insurance status.

How much will my dental work cost?
With the exception of first visit, x-ray, and consultation costs, we DO NOT quote fees for our dental services over the phone. The cost of other needed services will be quoted to you once Dr. Yoshida has seen you for a comprehensive oral evaluation.
Can I get my teeth cleaned on the same day as my new patient exam?

All new patients start with dental imaging (x-rays and/or CBCT) and a comprehensive oral evaluation so Dr. Yoshida can tailor any follow-up specifically to your dental needs. But while we don’t offer same-day treatment, for dental emergencies, we can offer a limited exam to focus on the immediate problem and possibly treatment, depending on the time needed and what is available on our schedule.

Can I get treatment the same day as my new patient exam?
No, we do not offer same day treatment. A thorough examination and preparation is needed to best suit your holistic dental needs.
What makes your practice holistic?
Fremont Natural Dentistry is a health-centered practice that focuses on supporting whole body health through nontoxic, minimally invasive dental care. As biocompatibility is a must, we’re proudly fluoride-free, mercury-free, and mercury-safe. We stress prevention and follow established protocols for procedures such as safe mercury amalgam removal, ozone therapy, and the like. Dr. Yoshida and his team regularly take continuing education to stay up-to-date on the latest advances in holistic and biological dentistry.
Do you use fluoride during cleanings or other procedures?
No, Fremont Natural Dentistry is proudly fluoride-free. That includes fluoride released from materials used as sealants or to restore decayed or damaged teeth.
Do you do root canals?
No, we do not do root canals at Fremont Natural Dentistry, although we can refer you to an endodontist if you choose root canal treatment.
What do you have to help me be less anxious during my appointment?
For patients with dental anxiety, we offer nitrous oxide (“laughing gas”) and oral conscious sedation.
